Wall Decal

A Mughal motif is re-imagined as a wallpaper design. However, unlike in the case of conventional wallpaper where the pattern is printed on to a paper that gets pasted to the wall, in this case the motif is a standalone wall decal, to be painted over and then peeled off and removed to reveal the colors underneath. This gives the flexibility for each motif to be different with changing gradients of color. The exact, same motif is not repeated as is, like in case of conventional wallpaper.
The design in totality may read like wallpaper but there is no “wallpaper” to speak off. The depth in the paint and the changing colors is what creates the patterns.
